I'm Margaret McCarron
A teacher, coach, curriculum specialist, and educational innovator passionate about language acquisition, inclusive pedagogy, social justice, big questions, and joy. I adore a Google doc that is as elegantly formatted as it is functional. (One of my community resource Google docs was cited in New York Magazine!)
My Story
I am the child of educators, moved from Paynesville, MN to Warsaw, Poland with my family when I was 13, and never looked back. Since then, I have lived in Argentina, Japan, Qatar, India, Spain, and now currently reside in the Netherlands. This international experience has shaped my understanding of educational systems and fostered my commitment to creating learning environments that honor diverse cultural perspectives.
My career has taken me through various roles in both international and U.S. public schools, where I've taught English as an Additional Language, Theory of Knowledge, Spanish, and Learning Support. My time at Minneapolis Public Schools was particularly foundational in shaping my commitment to inclusive teaching practices and social justice in education.
Currently, I teach at the International School of Amsterdam while serving as co-founder and CEO of TeamTeacher.ai – where we're creating AI tools specifically designed to reduce teacher workload and reignite the joy of teaching. This summer, I'll be relocating back to Minneapolis to focus full-time on TeamTeacher.ai and providing AI coaching for teachers and others who want to leverage these powerful tools in ways that honor their expertise and autonomy.
